What we actually make
The merc-with-a-mouth costume is the subject, not a licence. Each cover in the collector series names a homage source — a 90s rack copy, a Silver Age splash, a folded poster — then breaks costume tells so the page cannot be mistaken for a Marvel product. You can take a number from a drop, or sit for a custom cover.
The numbered series
Small drops with reserved numbers and a written homage note. Holds exist so you can think; they are not a countdown.
From a briefing table, not a mood board
Commissioners bring three physical covers. We stand back and decide which joke still reads at arm’s length. Costume tells — eye ratio, belt hardware, caption weight — get written on a card that later sits in the token metadata.
Minting is yours. We do not run a checkout or a marketplace stall. Files, proofs, and the occasional A3 sheet leave Bourton; wallets stay with the collector.
The first pencils put the katanas on the wrong hip for the gag I wanted. After the second round the caption box actually landed.
