Refunds

These rules apply to cover commissions, series allocation holds, homage treatments, signed print companions, and Bourton briefings. They do not describe interior comics, licensed merchandise, subscriptions, or goods we do not sell.

Eligibility

You may request a refund by emailing hello@signal-framehub.world with the brief date and the job (custom cover, hold, variant, print, or briefing). Phone 07925266878 if you need to flag a damaged sheet quickly. We reply within five working days.

Timeframe

Print companions may be refused within 14 days of delivery if they are unused and the packing is intact, except for signed sheets made to your edition number — those are made to order. Custom cover deposits are refundable in full if we have not started pencils. After pencils are sent, the deposit is kept against time already drawn.

Full and partial refunds

If we cancel a commission before pencils, you receive a full refund of fees paid. If we miss an agreed proof date by more than ten working days without a written pause, you may take a partial refund of 20% of the remaining balance or wait for the cover. Allocation holds are refunded in full if we cannot offer the number we reserved.

Non-refundable items

Completed digital cover files, once delivered, are not refundable because they can be copied. Signed prints numbered to a token are not refundable unless they arrived damaged or misnumbered. A briefing that took place is not refundable, though the fee is still credited if you book a custom cover within three months.

Process and timing

Refunds go back by the same method you used to pay the invoice (bank transfer in the United Kingdom is typical). Allow five to ten working days after we confirm. We do not refund onto a marketplace balance because we do not take marketplace checkout.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may reschedule a Bourton briefing once at no charge if you write at least 48 hours ahead. Later changes, or a no-show, forfeit the briefing fee. Custom covers may be paused once; a pause longer than eight weeks is treated as cancellation of unfinished stages, with pencils already delivered remaining yours to keep without a colour pass.

Deposits and work already started

The 40% desk deposit pays for accepted pencils. If you cancel after the first pencil round, we keep the deposit and you keep those pencils for private reference only — not for minting. Colour started but not approved is billed at the hours noted on the quote, capped at the remaining balance.

Materials

Heavy stock ordered for an A2 companion after you approved the proof is chargeable if you cancel the print. Homage comics you lent us are returned; we do not invoice paper we already owned.

Exceptions

If a brief asked for licensed trade dress we cannot draw, we refund fees paid and close the job. If a mint you control fails after files were delivered correctly, that is outside these refunds — see the terms on your mint. Statutory consumer rights in the UK still apply where they cannot be excluded.
