One-of-one covers sound decisive until the collector wants a print for the wall. We will mint a unique token and still pull a single signed sheet, numbered 1/1, so the paper and the file agree.
Editions of 25 to 50 are the size most people in our studio actually finish. The group can argue about numbers without the homage joke getting diluted. Prints can match tokens if everyone wants paper.
A hundred copies wants a newsstand treatment. The fake barcode and month box give the extra copies a reason to exist. Without that, you are only stretching the same pose.
We decline editions above 250 on a custom commission. The colour proofing cannot keep up, and the parody starts to look like a poster run. The public collector series uses smaller drops on purpose.
Allocation holds exist so you can think. They are not a queue for a shop. If you let a hold lapse, the number goes back on the list. We do not invent scarcity clocks.
